Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Buffalo, NY to provide comprehensive care for older adults in SNF/LTC settings. The role offers hybrid work with onsite patient care and remote documentation, full-time hours, and no night or weekend shifts.

The position emphasizes clinical autonomy with strong organizational support, scalable compensation on a fee-for-service basis, and access to extensive back-office resources.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted New York license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C.
• Active DEA or willingness to obtain.
• All experience levels as a PMHNP or Psych PA welcome to apply.
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
