Job summary

Kent Hospital in Rhode Island seeks a Geriatric Program Coordinator to lead hospital-wide geriatric initiatives, including ACS GSV and GED A accreditation programs, CMS Age-Friendly Measures, and the ACE Unit activities. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
  • 3–5 years of healthcare-related experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to evaluate areas for improvement and provide input to improve methods, services, programs or technology.
  • Strong public speaking and communication skills with diverse audiences.
  • Superior interpersonal, problem-solving, organization and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, mid-level providers and hospital staff.
  • Able to work across functions and build effective teams.
  • Creative, adaptable to change, and willing to learn from others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hospital-wide geriatric programs and accreditation initiatives, including ACS GSV and GED A coordinations.
  • Coordinate, attend, and document meetings with agendas and minutes.
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate quality improvement and process improvement initiatives.
  • Provide project management and facilitation support for QI/PI initiatives and related outreach projects.
  • Oversee data collection, dashboards, and reporting to monitor performance metrics.
  • Support compliance with regulatory and accrediting standards and prepare materials for committees.
  • Educate hospital staff and physicians on quality improvement methodologies and tools.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
