Vitae Health Systems is seeking a compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team providing psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and management for residents in skilled nursing facilities.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians and therapists, prescribe psychotropic medications, offer psychotherapy where appropriate, and contribute to care plans, documentation, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacology.
• Evidence-based mental health practices.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications and monitor effects.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff.
• Provide psychotherapy and counseling when applicable.
• Participate in care plan meetings, quality initiatives and value-based care.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on mental health conditions and interventions.
• Maintain compliant and accurate clinical documentation.

Education

Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing (PMHNP)

APN license & PMHNP certification
