Deer Oaks Behavioral Health — Long-Term Care Clinical Services is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide in-person psychiatric assessments, medication management, and Medicare-compliant dosing strategies for LTC residents in the Marble Falls area. The clinician will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and document efficiently in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted PMHNP or PMHNP-BC license.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort working in LTC environments.
• Commitment to timely documentation and high-quality psychiatric care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for LTC residents.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with Medicare and LTC best practices.
• Implement and document Medicare-compliant gradual dose reduction (GDR) strategies.
• Monitor and treat chronic mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and dementia-related behavioral disturbances.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—nursing, medical providers, social services, rehabilitation, and facility leadership.
• Complete accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes using the EMR system.
