Job summary

The University of Kansas Cancer Center (KUCC) seeks a full-time Geriatric Oncologist to join the Division of Medical Oncology, the Division of Geriatrics, and the Landon Center on Aging. The successful candidate will contribute to building a formal geriatric oncology program within KUCC’s NCI-designated cancer center.

This is an academic clinician-scientist role with teaching and research responsibilities. Ideal applicants hold BC/BE in Internal Medicine or Medical Oncology with Geriatrics, and

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Medical Oncology with geriatrics.
• Formally trained in the relevant discipline to meet accreditation and institutional standards.

Responsibilities

• Participate in consults, inpatient service coverage and on-call rotating with other medical oncology staff.
• Establish ambulatory clinic for the medical oncology population.
• Engage in scholarly activities derived from clinical and educational work.
• Develop a geriatric medical oncology program.
