Job summary

Rivetus is seeking a qualified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide treatments per established plans under supervision, contribute to program development, and participate in care conferences. You will document care, coordinate with other disciplines, and assist in discharge planning, while supervising students and representing the OT department to families and staff.

Successful candidates must have an accredited OTA program and Michigan licensure, with the ability to adapt to patient needs

Qualifications

• Accredited OTA program completion required.
• State licensure as required by Michigan.
• Ability to exercise professional judgement and initiative.
• Ability to adapt to patient needs and family communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatment to patients per plan under supervision.
• Contribute to development and implementation of treatment and progression.
• Participate in patient care conferences and program development.
• Complete documentation and adhere to policies and standards.
• Coordinate with other disciplines for total patient care.
• Ensure delivery of quality care and contribute to discharge planning.
• Perform all OTA duties and supervise students/volunteers.
• Represent the OT Department to family, visitors and staff.
