• RN licensure
• Three years working with individuals with mental illness
• Knowledge of nursing services standards and techniques
• Knowledge of medication safety in somatic and psychotropic contexts
• Knowledge of chronic mental illness treatment, diagnosis, immunization and related medical services
• Knowledge of nursing service policies and procedures
• Ability to supervise nonprofessional medical personnel and instruct them
• Ability to maintain patient medical records and prepare reports
• Ability to establish relationships with clients, staff and others
• Maintain professional liability insurance with VOA Chesapeake as additional insured

Responsabilidades

• Participates in referral, medical assessment and discharge of clients
• Contributes to medical issue management within rehabilitation plans
• Provides consultation and staff training
• Assists in privileging staff for duties
• Acts as liaison to the medical community
• Monitors medication policies and procedures
• Administers medications and monitors tests and follow-ups
• Monitors client physicals and makes recommendations
