Job summary

Gurwin Healthcare System in Commack, NY seeks a part-time LPN for all shifts (7:00am-3:15pm, 3:00pm-11:15pm, 11:00pm-7:15am) with every other weekend scheduling. The role requires NYS licensed graduate and a passion for geriatric care within a continuing care campus.

We offer a $5,000 sign-on for part-time hires, a rate increase to $36.19–$39.81 after 6 months, and a robust benefits package including medical, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and employee perks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program with NYS license.
• Demonstrates interest in geriatric care.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
• Education in LTC/Subacute to ensure competency on all units.

Responsibilities

• Participates in nursing care of geriatric patients under RN supervision.
• Assists in formulation and implementation of patient care plans.
• Administers medications and nursing procedures per policy.
• Directs and supervises non‑professional staff as assigned.
• Observes, records and reports patient data per policy.
• Participates in inter-disciplinary team activities and in-services.
