Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning and directing quality activities for patients in a post-acute care setting in Denver, CO.

The role requires a high school diploma, and experience in geriatrics is preferred; candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and demonstrate good judgment and adherence to policies and procedures. Excellent patient-focused service is essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to follow Life Care standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating quality activity programs.
• Chart patient progress and behavior.
• Escort patients to activities.
• Make in-room visits to patients who are uninterested or unable to participate.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Communicate and function on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
