Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Director of Activities in planning, organizing, and directing quality activities for patients. Responsibilities include coordinating recreational, physical, intellectual, spiritual, and social activities to meet each patient’s needs in compliance with Life Care standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and geriatrics experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement and evaluate quality activity programs (recreation, exercise, relaxation, education).
• Chart patient progress and behavior descriptively.
• Escort patients to/from activities and visit patients in their rooms as needed.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and positive attitude toward patients.
• Participate in safety and evacuation procedures as required.
• Maintain attendance and professionalism while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
