Job summary

United Pioneer Home is seeking a dedicated laundry attendant to ensure and enhance the health and well-being of Residents by laundering clothing, bedding and other textiles according to cleanliness and infection control standards.

Responsibilities include sorting soiled laundry, operating commercial machines, maintaining a sanitary work area, following established procedures, and adhering to safety policies while serving Residents with respect and dignity.

Qualifications

• Able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.
• Able to follow directions and recipes, and to read labels and instructions.
• Minimum age 16.
• Able to work every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Identify and sort different types of soiled laundry for processing according to policy.
• Load and operate commercial laundry machines.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Follow routines and procedures related to the laundry function.
• Adhere to standard precautions and OSHA guidelines.
