Job summary

Cascades at Riverwalk in Midvale, UT is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to sort, wash, dry, fold, and deliver linens for a geriatric population. This full-time role runs Saturday through Wednesday, 6am–2pm, offering opportunities to grow with a caring, team-focused community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school.
• Laundry experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
• Able to move and work in various positions, including tight or confined spaces.
• Willingness to work around body fluids and communicable diseases.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. without assistance.
• Capable of standing or walking for extended periods.
• Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) to perform duties.
• Meets facility health and employment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sorts soiled linens into appropriate baskets.
• Washes and dries linens and clothing per facility procedures.
• Folds and stacks clean linens, preparing them for delivery.
• Loads and transports clean linens on covered carts to designated areas.
• Prepares resident clothing on hangers or racks for return.
• Delivers clean clothing and linens to the correct resident rooms.
• Organizes resident closets and places folded items in drawers.
• Verifies all items are returned to the correct resident.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and disinfected laundry area at shift end.
• Follows all infection control policies and assists with other assigned duties.
