Job summary

Xpress Wellness in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Physician to provide high-quality care for elderly and medically complex residents in a long-term care facility. You will collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers, nursing staff, and other clinicians to manage chronic conditions and ensure residents' well-being.

The role involves rounds, medical orders, EMR documentation, after-hours calls, and serving as a medical lead for the facility while adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current MD or DO license in good standing.
• Board certification in medicine (MD/DO).
• State and federal licensure incl. DEA.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with EMR and medical coding basics.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical orders, direction, and patient care within long-term care.
• Perform rounds, obtain histories, exam patients, and document findings in EMR.
• Drives care coordination with APNs and nursing staff; relay new orders.
• Be primary contact for nursing staff; handle after-hours calls and texts as needed.
• Document treatment plans and follow-up in patient charts; participate in safety initiatives.
