Job summary

Galloway Ridge is seeking an energetic Exercise Physiologist for the Duke Center For Living. You will assess members' medical conditions to safely implement exercise programs, provide personal training, lead group classes, and offer wellness education. Base pay plus higher rates for personal training sessions reflect experience.

Responsibilities include fitness assessments, emergency response, program development, and administrative duties to support facility goals and the resident experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or kinesiology-related field.
• Certifications in BLS and AED, ACSM CEP or other PT certification within 90 days of hire.
• 6–12 months experience in a wellness program.

Responsibilities

• Assess pre/post exercise vital signs and RPE; monitor safety.
• Provide personal training and group fitness in line with DCFL goals.
• Counsel on behavior modification and risk factor reduction.
• Lead group exercise (aerobics, cycling, water aerobics, strength, flexibility).
• Monitor exercise floor and assist members with health questions; schedule training.
• Perform administrative duties (open/close checklists, front desk coverage).
• Support Resident Experience with additional duties as needed.
