Job summary

The Sharon at SouthPark, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community in Charlotte, seeks an Exercise Physiologist to design and implement fitness programs for residents and staff. Under the Health and Fitness Manager and the Director of Vitality, you will prescribe exercise, lead group classes, assess needs, and track participation to promote well-being for older adults.

Requirements include a B.S. in Exercise Science or related field, and certifications from ACSM/ACE/AFAA/NSCA/IDEA/NASM,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• Certifications from ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA, IDEA, or NASM.
• Experience leading group fitness classes.
• Experience working with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company with residents, employees and partners while promoting safety and well-being.
• Reviews resident needs with health and fitness manager to plan programs.
• Designs and implements programs, including research, assessment, marketing, and delivery.
• Maintains participation data for the Vitality and Well-being Department.
