Job summary

Woodland Pond, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to create an enjoyable casual dining experience for residents, staff and visitors, ensuring meals meet dietary needs and safety standards.

The role focuses on food service, hygiene, and teamwork, with responsibilities ranging from serving meals and verifying temperatures to stocking kitchenette supplies and following health guidelines. Weekend and holiday availability is expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or HSE preferred.
• Prior server training and 600 hours of food service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Able to write legibly, takes oral and written instruction well.
• Has demonstrated knowledge of appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages, especially the elderly or geriatric population.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service to residents, staff and visitors.
• Ensure residents receive proper meals, considering dietary needs and allergies.
• Maintain food temperatures per established guidelines.
• Monitor that refrigerators, freezers and dishwashers operate at correct temperatures; take corrective action if out of temp.
• Stock kitchenettes with snacks and drinks per Health guidelines; label and date items.
• Label and date items in refrigerators/freezers per Health guidelines.
• Complete tasks in own section and assist with side work.
• Maintain hygiene, use gloves and wash hands as needed.
• Keep dining area free of hazards including ambulatory devices.
• Follow emergency procedures and evacuate dining area as required.
• Complete required trainings and in-services.
