St. James Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New York seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver treatment under the supervision of an OT, supporting goals and patient-centered care.

Candidates must hold a valid license, have experience in geriatric/long-term care, and be proficient in documentation. The role requires punctuality and collaboration with the rehab team; salary is hourly with benefits.

Formación

• Must have a valid license and registration for state of practice.
• Provide comprehensive treatment under supervision of Occupational Therapist.
• Long-term care and/or geriatric care experience preferred.
• Proficient in documentation writing.
• Document progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborates with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Punctual and professional; adhere to scheduled hours.
• Perform all duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out best practice treatments under OT supervision.
• Provide treatment aligned with goals developed by the OT.
• Provide feedback via documentation or facility policy.
• Document patient progress on weekly progress notes.
• Collaborate with all disciplines for patient-centered care.
• Demonstrate exceptional patient service and clinical excellence.
• Report to work on time and maintain professionalism.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
