Job summary

Hegg Health Center is seeking a Charge Nurse to take an active nursing role, mentor staff, assess residents, and coordinate care plans. You will work with staff, physicians, and residents to promote quality clinical care and resident advocacy.

The position emphasizes leadership, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with social services, activities, dietary, and housekeeping to sustain the household model of care and address resident needs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of long-term care experience with strong assessment and communication skills.
• RN (IA) licensure required.
• Certification in Gerontological nursing is preferred, specialized training or experience in geriatric nursing is desirable.
• Must have demonstrated leadership qualities, supervisory skills, interpersonal relationship skills, and knowledge of federal and state regulations governing clinical care, nursing practice and leadership.
• Commitment to person centered and resident directed care is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing activities and mentor staff, assess residents, and ensure care plan completion.
• Serve as resident advocate for quality clinical care and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with social services, activities, dietary, and housekeeping to support the household model of care.
• Problem solve, resolve conflicts, and meet resident needs.
