Job summary

Good Samaritan in Saint Paul, MN seeks a licensed social worker to provide counseling and coordination of healthcare/home care services. You will join an interdisciplinary team, addressing social, emotional, and economic needs of residents and families while coordinating programs and resources.

Responsibilities include crisis intervention, advocacy, referrals, and education on available services. Must have a MN Social Worker license and relevant experience; BLS within six weeks may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• If hired prior to 2009, a related field may be acceptable.
• Minnesota statue-based education accepted if working in MN.
• BLS certification within six weeks of employment; multi-state licensure may be required.
• MN Social Worker Licensure (LSW) or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide social work and counseling services in healthcare/home care programs.
• Coordinate and plan programs with interdisciplinary teams and families.
• Respond to suspected abuse/neglect per NASW Code of Ethics and state laws.
