Job summary

Liberty Health in Blowing Rock, NC seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality geriatric nursing care. The RN will follow physician orders, administer medications, lead nursing assistants, and assist physicians during rounds and exams.

The role emphasizes infection control, patient safety, and coordination with the care team to ensure timely physicals, documentation, and compliance with state regulations. A North Carolina nursing license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse from an accredited school.
• Current North Carolina Nursing License.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care following physician orders and facility policies.
• Administer medications (oral, SQ, IM or IV) as ordered.
• Lead, guide and supervise nursing assistants and orderlies.
• Assist physicians with rounds and examinations as needed.
• Maintain infection control and documentation of treatments.
• Coordinate scheduling of physicals and admissions.
