Job summary

St Frances Nursing, a skilled nursing facility in Oberlin LA, seeks a Housekeeper/Laundry Aide. Previous long-term care experience is preferred. You should be flexible, ready to help where needed, and conscientious about following policies and procedures.

You will be responsible for cleaning, laundry duties, and maintaining a safe, sanitary environment for residents. Responsibilities include dusting, cleaning baths, supervising daily duties, and assisting in routine tasks while adhering to HIPAA

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferable but not essential.
• Must have some knowledge in the use of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers and other cleaning equipment.
• Has an interest in learning, ability to cooperate, and is willing to work under supervision.
• Must work scheduled hours each week, which may include working weekends and holidays.
• Must have a pre-employment and an annual Tuberculosis screening examination.

Responsibilities

• Execute duties under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nurses and/or Administrator and Housekeeping Supervisor according to assignment.
• Keep the nursing facility in a clean and sanitary condition for residents.
• Must have a genuine interest in working with geriatrics.
• Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks with interruptions.
• Interact with patients and family members and staff in a supportive manner.
• Attends required staff in-services and orientation.
