Newark Rehabilitation is seeking an Activity Aide to create engaging activities for patients. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to plan and implement personalized activity plans that cater to each patient’s needs, interests and abilities.

You will assist with planning recreational activities, supervise participants to ensure safety, and document participation and progress. Collaboration with therapists and attendance at meetings will shape ongoing activity programs and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, geriatric care, or recreational therapy preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assisting with planning and implementing recreational activities (arts and crafts, games, excursions).
• Providing support and supervision to patients during activities, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Maintaining accurate records of participation, progress and feedback.
• Collaborating with therapy team to develop/adapt activities to meet patient goals and outcomes.
• Participating in meetings and contributing to activity programs and policies.
