The Heritage Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking an energetic Recreation Aide to enrich life for residents in our care community. The role focuses on planning and leading engaging activities, games, and social events designed to promote social interaction and well-being.

You will encourage participation, provide companionship for residents, and help create a warm, safe environment while supporting events and daily care routines.

Qualifications

• Experience in a long-term care setting or geriatric population preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, enthusiastic and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading recreational activities, games, social events, and group programs.
• Encourage residents to participate and remain socially engaged.
• Provide individual activities and companionship when appropriate.
• Assist with setting up and cleaning activity areas.
• Support special events, celebrations, and resident outings.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and positive environment.
• Complete required documentation and follow facility policies.
