Evolution Helmets is seeking an experienced Gerber Cutting Table Operator with working knowledge of Gerber AccuMark software to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will work independently with computerized cutting equipment and prepare, nest, and cut patterns accurately and efficiently.

This role involves generating markers, reviewing digital patterns, loading files, and maintaining production flow while ensuring quality and waste reduction.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Gerber Cutting Table Operator with working knowledge of Gerber AccuMark software to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently with computerized cutting equipment and will have experience preparing, nesting, and cutting patterns accurately and efficiently.

This position requires someone who understands the complete cutting process - from receiving digital patterns and creating or reviewing markers in AccuMark to preparing materials, operating the Gerber automated cutting table, inspecting cut components, and maintaining an organized production workflow.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Gerber automated cutting table safely and efficiently.
• Use Gerber AccuMark software to access, review, modify, and prepare patterns and markers for production.
• Create and/or adjust markers to maximize material utilization and reduce waste.
• Import, organize, and manage digital pattern files.
• Verify pattern dimensions, quantities, orientation, and material requirements prior to cutting.
• Prepare and spread fabric or other materials on the cutting table.
• Properly apply vacuum, plastic overlay, paper, or other cutting preparation materials as required.
• Load cutting files and configure machine settings according to the material being cut.
• Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Identify and correct cutting, nesting, pattern, or machine-related issues.
• Inspect cut parts for accuracy, defects, incomplete cuts, or material problems.
• Properly label, bundle, and organize cut components for the next stage of production.
• Maintain accurate production and material usage records.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on the cutting table.
• Change blades and other consumable components when necessary.
• Troubleshoot common Gerber cutting table and AccuMark issues.
• Work closely with production, sewing, engineering, and management personnel to ensure jobs are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Required Experience

Candidates should have previous hands-on experience operating a Gerber computerized cutting table and should be familiar with Gerber AccuMark CAD/CAM software.

We are specifically looking for someone who understands:

• AccuMark pattern files
• Marker making and nesting
• Pattern placement and material utilization
• Automated cutting procedures
• Fabric/material spreading and preparation
• Blade changes and basic machine maintenance
• Troubleshooting cutting problems
• Reading work orders, patterns, drawings, and production specifications
• Quality control of cut components

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in textile, upholstery, aerospace, aviation, automotive, marine, apparel, safety equipment, or other soft-goods manufacturing is highly desirable.

Experience with multiple types of fabrics and technical materials is a plus.

Candidates should also possess strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while meeting production deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

This position may require standing for extended periods, bending and reaching around the cutting table, moving rolls or sheets of material, and lifting materials associated with normal production operations.

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is already comfortable with Gerber equipment and AccuMark, rather than someone who would need to be trained from the beginning. The right person will understand how to take a cutting job from the computer through finished cut parts while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and minimal material waste.

Pay is determined by level of experience.
