Job Overview

Ensure quality service, oversee line cook training, and maintain sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Verify all items against recipe cards and ensure proper use records and presentation.
  2. Monitor line setup for efficiency during meal periods.
  3. Maintain equipment and uphold 'clean as you go' policy.
  4. Prepare food following recipes, standards, and server requests.
  5. Start ahead-of-time food items, avoiding excess preparation.
  6. Label and rotate perishables at proper temperatures.
  7. Check pars, prepare necessary items, and set up lines.
  8. Report shortages or out-of-stock items.
  9. Store unused food properly, covering and dating perishables.
  10. Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1-2 years in a related role.

Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of cooking practices and kitchen procedures.

Physical Demands

  • Lift, push, pull, carry up to 70 lbs regularly.
  • Climb periodically.
  • Bend frequently when using lower ovens.
  • Full mobility and ability to travel 30-50 feet.
  • Stand continuously during shifts.
  • Hear timers and communicate effectively.
  • See product details clearly.
  • Follow instructions and communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Work in temperatures from -10°F in freezers to over 100°F on the line.
