Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking motivated civil engineering students for a Geotechnical Summer 2027 internship in Portland, OR. The role offers real-world field and lab experience under professional mentorship and a pathway to learn what it takes to succeed in geotechnical engineering.

As an intern, you will monitor field explorations, document conditions, and assist engineers with deliverables while maintaining safety and field readiness. The position is onsite for the summer outdoors.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Environmental Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Monitors field explorations and construction projects under guidance of engineers.
• Documents field conditions and completes field reports.
• Assists with routine laboratory testing and analyses.
• Assists engineers with office and project-related deliverables.
• Maintains lab and field equipment and ensures readiness.
• Supports safe work practices and adheres to training requirements.
