Job summary

ECS Group of Companies, a geotechnical, construction materials, environmental and facilities consulting firm, is seeking an entry-level engineer to support geotechnical reports, CMT tasks, budgeting, and field investigations in Florida.

The role requires a BS/MS in Civil or Geotechnical fields, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work with teams and clients. This is an on-site opportunity with opportunities to grow in geotechnical software and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
• 0 years of related experience.
• A professional license is not required, but developing in career.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS.
• Knowledge of geotechnical principles and ASTM standards.

Responsibilities

• Supports preparation of geotechnical reports and recommendations.
• Manages CMT tasks including daily report review and issue tracking.
• Assists with project budgeting and prepares invoices.
• Supports preparation of proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects.
• Performs boring and test pit layout and site access evaluation.
• Prepares drilling packages and obtains utility clearances.
• Conducts research on local geologic conditions.
• Assists with supervision of field investigations and drilling activities.
• Performs in-situ testing and soil classification.
• Reviews field reports and documents project data.
• Communicates with project teams, contractors, and field personnel.
• Performs other technical, field, and project support tasks.

• Assists with project budgeting and prepares invoices
• Supports preparation of proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects
• Performs or assists with boring and test pit layout and site access evaluation

• Conducts research on local geologic conditions
