Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead geotechnical investigations, coordinate materials testing programs, and participate in forensic assignments under licensed engineers. You will develop reports and contribute to project challenges from pads to heavy industry, with mentorship toward PE licensure.

Expected to balance field drilling, data review, and technical writing in a dynamic environment based from Sugar Land, Texas, with travel to active sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related
• EIT certificate or exam scheduled
• Field-willing: real projects, real dirt, real weather
• Clear technical writing
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs
• Reduce and review laboratory data
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support
