Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking staff engineers to gain exposure across geotechnical investigations, materials testing, forensic assignments, and report writing under licensed engineers. You will plan drilling, reduce data, draft reports, and coordinate field and lab activities while progressing toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.

Salary ranges from $85,000 to $115,000 depending on experience and licensure progress.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certificate or exam date scheduled.
• Field-willing: willing to work on real projects in varying weather.
• Clear technical writing skills.
• Interest in geotechnical, materials, or forensic practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and observe drilling and field testing programs.
• Reduce and review laboratory data.
• Draft geotechnical and materials reports.
• Support forensic investigations, coring programs, and distress evaluations.
• Coordinate field crews and laboratory scheduling on assigned projects.
• Progress toward PE licensure with mentorship and exam support.
