Job summary

Langan is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to join its collaborative team in Melville, White Plains, New York, NY. This role provides geotechnical engineering expertise through analysis and design, and supports management of projects, supervision of staff engineers, and interfacing with clients on both small-scale and large-scale geotechnical projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• Master's degree with Geotechnical emphasis preferred.
• Professional Engineer licensure required.
• 6+ years of related Geotechnical experience.
• 3+ years field experience with geotechnical investigations and construction observation.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses and design of pile elements and underpinning systems.
• Prepare technical documents and manage proposals, reports, construction documents, and correspondence.
• Supervise field investigations and earthwork and foundation construction activities.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
• Plan, schedule, develop tasks, and manage project budgets.
• Prepare progress reports, draft change orders, invoices, and project billings.
