Job summary

ECS Midwest, LLC is seeking an entry-level geotechnical engineer to support preparation of geotechnical reports, collaborate with senior staff, and manage CMT projects in Wisconsin. This role includes field supervision, budget tracking, and invoicing, with opportunities to learn drilling and field testing techniques.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (BS/MS) and can obtain a driver’s license. No professional license is required at entry, but progression may require licensure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
  • No experience required.
  • A professional license is not required in this position but is necessary to progress in your career.
  • If driving for ECS, a valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations in collaboration with senior staff.
  • Manage CMT projects with daily report review and training of field staff.
  • Manage project budgets and prepare invoices.
  • Assist with boring/test pit layouts, drilling packages, and site access.
  • Supervise field crews and assist with rig access issues; perform in-situ testing.
