Job summary

Verdantas seeks a Geotechnical Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams on land development and civil infrastructure in New England. You will drive projects from planning through implementation, engaging with regulators, clients, and stakeholders while mentoring junior staff.

Travel to projects in New England and NY is expected. The role requires a PE license in at least one New England state and 7+ years in geotechnical/site civil engineering, with PM experience preferred and a starting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/geotechnical engineering, Master’s preferred.
• 7+ years in geotechnical/site civil engineering and construction review.
• 2+ years of project management preferred.
• PE license in at least one New England state; reciprocity possible.
• PM certification preferred; design experience in geotechnical/site civil beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead diverse projects with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery within budget.
• Maintain and grow client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Attend meetings with clients, officials, engineers, developers and contractors.
• Develop strategies, scope of work, risk evaluation, and project budgets.
• Supervise internal teams and subcontractors; perform peer reviews of analyses and deliverables.
• Interface with regulatory agencies as a client advocate during permitting processes.
• Perform engineering work on land/site development, including planning, design, and sustainability.
• Prepare construction plans for agency review and permit packages.
• Mentor aspiring engineers and technicians.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical engineering

Master’s degree preferred
