Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager in York, PA to lead geotechnical projects including field exploration, lab testing, analysis, and report preparation. The role requires coordinating site activities and client communications within a dynamic A/E/C environment.

You will develop proposals, manage projects, and travel up to 15% to client sites. A civil/geotechnical engineering background and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

The Geotechnical Project Manager is responsible for performing a variety of testing, project specific observations and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

What you’ll do:

• Execute one or all of the following geotechnical project assignments but not limited to field exploration, laboratory services, engineering analysis, and report preparation.
• Prepare proposals and reports and direct operations in a manner to consistently meet commitments to the clients.
• Perform Site Reconnaissance of sites prior to performing field services.
• Coordinate Utility clearance and boring layout prior to performing field services.
• Actively participate in business development and marketing efforts while establishing and maintaining client relationships related to technical aspects of our client assignments.
• Actively participate in relationship building with professional and technical organizations.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• 3+ years of progressive Geotechnical Engineering experience with active project management experiencerequired
• Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills are essential
• Excellent understanding and knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and related disciplines with the ability and desire to provide creative and practical solutions to meet the client's needs
• Expected travel up to 15% of the time
• Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record (required)

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred
