Job summary

The Mannik Smith Group is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer/Manager in Grand Rapids, MI, to lead and manage geotechnical projects. The role encompasses preparing cost estimates, planning field investigations, and designing geotechnical structures.

We're looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's in civil engineering, 10-15 years of experience, and excellent technical writing and problem-solving skills. The position offers a range of benefits including health insurance and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Must have passed the PE exam or able to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience with MDOT, ODOT, or similar agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for projects.
• Plan and execute geotechnical field investigations.
• Design foundations and other geotechnical structures.
• Monitor and inspect construction activities for compliance.
