Job summary

A consulting firm in Canton, MI is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer/Manager to lead projects in geotechnical engineering. Responsibilities include overseeing investigations, managing project teams, and ensuring compliance with design specifications. A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and 10-15 years of experience in the field are required. Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Have passed the principles of engineering (PE) exam or able to obtain within 1 year.
• Experience with MDOT, ODOT, or other transportation/local agencies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for geotechnical tasks.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute field investigations.
• Act as project manager for multi-discipline projects.
• Perform geotechnical analyses for foundation designs.
• Design foundations and other geotechnical structures.
