Job summary

Blackburn Consulting is seeking a full-time Project Engineer or Geologist to work on engineering and geology projects under the Director of Geotechnical Services. This role requires 2–4 years of experience, travel <25% to project sites, and strong problem-solving abilities. Located in California with offices in multiple locations.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in engineering or geology and a valid driver’s license. Domestic travel and field exploration are typical aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or geology.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Registered PE or PG preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
• Computer Savvy: Windows 10, Autodesk Civil 3D, GIS, Adobe.

Responsibilities

• Prepares simple designs, calculations, and draft reports.
• Gathers and compiles data under supervision of PMs or Sr. Engineers.
• Historical and analytical project research.
• Engages in data and results analysis.
• Completes tasks from PMs and senior staff on geotechnical projects.
• Works in field to complete exploration and data collection.
