ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer I in Charlottesville, VA to lead and support geotechnical and construction materials testing projects from proposal through final delivery.

You will prepare reports, manage budgets and schedules, review field data, mentor junior staff, and interface with clients while contributing to business development and maintaining ECS core values.

Formación

• 2 years of related experience.
• PE license in state of work.
• Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil/Geological Engineering or similar.
• Valid driver’s license if driving for ECS subsidiaries.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Good knowledge of geotechnical principles and ASTM/CMT standards.
• Ability to interpret field and laboratory testing results.
• Ability to manage priorities, schedules, and deadlines.
• Developing client relationships and business development skills.
• Working knowledge of geotechnical software.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares geotechnical reports with analysis and recommendations.
• Manages geotechnical and CMT projects, including scheduling, execution, and delivery.
• Reviews field reports and ensures accuracy and completeness.
• Manages project budgets, change orders, invoices, and collections.
• Prepares geotechnical and CMT proposals.
• Begins ownership of projects from proposal through completion.
• Supervises field activities, including drilling and testing operations.
• Interprets field and lab testing results and supports decision-making.
• Interfaces with clients and participates in project discussions.
• Mentors and supports junior staff and field personnel.
