Job summary

Atlas is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Engineer for South Florida projects. You will lead geotechnical investigations, develop recommendations, and oversee field operations from proposal through project completion.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in geotechnical engineering, strong subsurface experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects with limited supervision, while coordinating with technicians and clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressive geotechnical engineering and construction-phase experience.
• Experience with subsurface investigations, engineering evaluations and report preparation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate field operations.
• Solid knowledge of soil mechanics and foundation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, including budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate subsurface investigations, including borings, test pits, and lab testing.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, calculations, and recommendations with QA/QC support.
• Perform construction phase services and field evaluations; liaise with clients and subcontractors.
• Support proposal preparation, cost estimates, and client communications.
