Job summary

Geocomp, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Materials Laboratory Manager for our Elmsford, NY location. You will lead quality-system laboratory testing, supervise staff, and coordinate QA reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, geotechnical lab experience, and proven supervisory ability. You'll work with our GeoTesting Express team to deliver timely results and maintain certifications, while supporting development and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related engineering field.
• Two years of experience in any suitable occupation related to Geotechnology.
• Experience must include working in a geotechnical laboratory environment, with supervisory experience.
• Experience with soils and soil testing is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and Conduct quality system laboratory tests.
• Implement, improve & maintain quality system through documentation, proficiency, accreditations.
• Prepare QA project reports.
• Analyze tests and ensure they are conducted in accordance with our quality system laboratory training programs.
• Provide quotes/pricing to clients in a timely manner.
• Oversee the daily operation of GeoTesting Express.
• As part of the management team supervise laboratory employee

Job Details:

GeoTesting Express provides state-of-the-art testing facilities in our laboratory to measure the mechanical and physical properties of soil, rock, geosynthetics, aggregate, concrete, and other geo-materials. Will utilize best practices and advanced testing equipment to provide fast, accurate results.
