Job summary

Geocomp, Inc. through its GTX division seeks a Sample Receiving Laboratory Assistant for the Soil and Rock Testing Laboratory in Elmsford, NY. You will support receipt, documentation, organization, and coordination of laboratory samples and testing activities.

This role offers hands-on experience with state-of-the-art automated testing equipment and opportunities for growth within a collaborative laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients regarding their testing program.
• Label and barcode samples for tracking.
• Deliver rush samples to appropriate technicians.
• Relay pertinent information to technicians about testing programs.
• Coordinate with lab managers when necessary.
• Retrieve shipped samples from delivery and client drop-offs.
