Job summary

Remedy is seeking a mid- to senior-level California-licensed Civil/Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to lead environmental investigations and remedial engineering of former sites. You will plan, perform, and report on site investigations and design; coordinate field teams; and engage with regulators and clients throughout due diligence to construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years geotechnical engineering experience including field investigation, analysis and reporting.
• Active California PE license and GE title in good standing.
• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training.
• Experience supporting industrial buildings, foundations, earthwork and site development.
• Strong writing and communication skills for client and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop investigation scopes, budgets, schedules, field plans, and coordinate drilling, labs, surveyors, and field teams.
• Direct field and lab testing, review data quality, and derive engineering parameters.
• Perform geotechnical analyses and modeling for settlement, foundations, liquefaction, and seismic response.
• Prepare calculations, geotechnical reports, design criteria, specifications, and permitting-ready documentation.
• Provide construction-phase support including observations and responses to field conditions.
• Communicate findings and risks to clients and multidisciplinary teams; support proposals and client relationships.
• Advise leadership on costs and timelines of potential opportunities.
