Job summary

Knight Piésold is seeking a Laboratory Manager for its geotechnical soils laboratory in Denver, CO. You will oversee daily operations, guide a team of technicians, and implement new technologies to keep the lab at the forefront of the industry.

The role requires five years of geotechnical testing experience and supervisory capabilities, with an engineering degree or equivalent preferred. A strong emphasis on communication and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of field and laboratory geotechnical testing methods, techniques, and results interpretation.
• Minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all aspects of the geotechnical soils laboratory operations.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to laboratory technicians and engineers.
• Provide on-the-job training to staff.
• Manage inventory and resources for the lab.
• Liaise with Knight Piésold staff and clients.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and software systems.
