Job summary

Terradyne Engineering in Carrollton, TX is seeking a geotechnical lab technician to analyze soil, rocks, and groundwater samples from field investigations. You will communicate test status to Lab Supervisor and Department Manager, and support QC in the lab.

Responsibilities include organizing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, promoting a safe work environment, and assisting with AASHTO proficiency testing as required.

Qualifications

• Geology background preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn procedures.
• Excellent time management and organization.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and QC documentation.
• Willingness to work long hours and weekends when needed.
• Industry certifications (ACI Strength, ACI Aggregate, SB101, SB102) preferred.
• Clean driving record and background check.

Responsibilities

• Communicate test status and results to Lab Supervisor/Department Manager.
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects with minimal supervision.
• Adhere to deadlines and maintain schedules.
• Be flexible during peak times.
• Promote a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Assist with AASHTO proficiency testing as required.
• Maintain attention to detail and report issues to supervisor/manager.
• Perform additional tasks as requested by supervisor/manager.
