We are seeking a Lab Engineering Technician I to perform laboratory testing of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and rock. Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests on construction materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and rock.
• Assist with basic testing and observation duties under close supervision.
• Document findings accurately and communicate results to project managers.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during testing procedures.
• Perform equipment calibration and maintenance as required.

Essential Skills

• Basic knowledge of construction materials testing procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and reporting.

Work Environment

Primarily laboratory-based with occasional field sample transport. Exposure to construction materials and testing equipment is expected. The role requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and may involve standing for extended periods and lifting heavy samples.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
