Zusammenfassung

The Geotechnical Investigation Engineer (Civil Engineer III) supervises geotechnical investigations and analyzes data to support the design, construction, and maintenance of highways in Illinois's Region 5/District 8. The role manages the district's drilling program, trains and supervises staff, and ensures compliance with safety regulations and project schedules.

This position is based in Collinsville, Illinois within the Department of Transportation's Office of Highways and Intermodal Project

Qualifikationen

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or current Illinois Professional Engineer license.
37 months of civil engineering experience.
Knowledge of geotechnical products, subsurface investigation methods, and soil testing procedures.
Ability to supervise staff engaged in field or office engineering functions.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel district-wide with occasional overnight stays.
