Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is seeking entry level to experienced Geotechnical Field Technicians for our Laurel, Maryland office. Responsibilities include construction observation and testing of soil, concrete and other materials in a dynamic, fast-growth environment.

This role is ideal for recent graduates passionate about civil engineering, construction observation, materials testing, and geology, offering a solid pathway to advance within a reputable organization.

Qualifications

• Outdoor work required.
• Heavy lifting up to 60-80 lbs regularly; 80+ occasionally.
• Driver's license required; reliable vehicle.
• Citizenship or permanent residency required; visa sponsorship not offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation and testing of soils, concrete, and other materials.
• Support field operations at the Laurel, MD site and assist with report documentation.

Requirements

Geotechnical Field Technician Requirements:

• High school diploma or college degree
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or a similar field preferred but not required
• NICET, ACI, WACEL, or structural certifications a plus
• Own a reliable vehicle and have a favorable driving record
• Ability to work outdoors
• Ability to regularly lift 60 pounds and occasionally move 80 pounds or more
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (visa sponsorship is not available)
• Available to to work on-site starting at 7AM
• Overtime should be expected and is paid at time and a half
• Availability for occasional weekend work is a plus
