Job summary

KS Engineers, P.C. is seeking a Geotechnical Field Engineer to support field investigations, sampling, logging, and data interpretation across multiple states. The role involves coordinating with subcontractors, conducting lab support, and contributing to geotechnical reports.

The candidate should have 0–3 years of experience, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and willingness to travel. EIT certification and OSHA training are a plus, with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.

Qualifications

  • 0–3 years of geotechnical field engineer experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/geotechnical/geology.
  • EIT certification preferred and OSHA training a plus.
  • Experience with RSLog or gINT is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform geotechnical field investigations, explorations, geologic reconnaissance, and site mapping.
  • Prepare field boring logs, soil and rock sampling, and field permeability testing.
  • Support geotechnical laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations, data interpretation, and technical analysis.
  • Assist in preparing geotechnical reports and project documentation.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors in the field to complete scope-of-work activities.
  • Travel to field assignments throughout NJ, NY, PA, and CT; overnight stays may be required.
  • Work in alignment with construction schedules, including early morning, evening, and overnight field work.
