Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) in Georgetown, Delaware is seeking a Geotechnical Engineering Technician to join our field team. Responsibilities include construction monitoring and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials at project sites.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with training and career growth potential in geology, civil engineering, and construction. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work outdoors are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• B.S. in Geology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science
• NICET, ACI, WACEL certificates preferred
• Own a reliable vehicle with good driving record
• Enjoy working outdoors
• Ability to work alone as well as in a group

Responsibilities

• Construction monitoring and testing of soil, concrete, and other materials
• Assist with field data collection and testing
• Support geotechnical projects in the Georgetown, Delaware office
• May require standing for extended periods and lifting (60–80 lbs)

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent B.S. in Geology, Civil Engineering, or Environmental Science.


• Preferred, but not required Engineering Technician experience and certificates such as NICET, ACI, WACEL, are a plus.


• Own a Reliable Vehicle and have a Good Driving Record.


• Enjoy working outdoors.


• Ability to work alone as well as in a group.
