Braun Intertec Corporation of Bloomington, MN is seeking civil/geotechnical engineering students for a 3-month internship in our geotechnical engineering department. You will perform field tests, observe construction, classify soils, and assist with reporting.

You will gain hands-on experience with ASTM/AASHTO/ICC/DOT standards, work under a licensed engineer, and receive competitive pay with potential overtime opportunities.

Formación

• College student pursuing civil engineering
• Some related work experience preferred, but training available
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
• Willing to travel up to 50% and overnight

Responsabilidades

• Perform and observe engineering field tests (double-ring infiltrometer, PDA, pressure meter testing)
• Observe construction of components (rammed aggregate piers, helical anchors, sheet piles) for conformance with project documents
• Performs visual and manual classification of soil samples to aid in soil boring logs
• Develop scopes of work and manage construction materials testing projects
• Assist with installation and monitoring of in-situ geotechnical instrumentation
• Learn procedures and gain exposure to ASTM, AASHTO, ICC and DOT standards
