Job summary

WSP USA's Geotechnical & Tunneling Team in St. Louis, MO is looking for a full-time Summer Intern to join the 12-week program beginning May 17, 2027. Open to undergrad or graduate students in civil/geotechnical fields, the role offers hands-on experience with senior staff on real projects.

You will assist with field work, basic calculations, and documentation while developing technical, social, and ethical skills and learning safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a civil/geotechnical program with a Dec 2027 graduation or later.
• Demonstrated interest in geotechnical engineering and tunneling.
• Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Assist with field work, research, and preliminary design calculations.
• Contribute to final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Maintain project documentation and learn safety policies.
